Thanks to Justine VanderGrift for this sweet story(I borrowed it from her blog)
Come with me to a third grade classroom..... There is a nine-year-old kid sitting at his desk and all of a sudden, there is a puddle between his feet and the front of his pants are wet. He thinks his heart is going to stop because he cannot possibly imagine how this has happened. It's never happened before, and he knows that when the boys find out he will never hear the end of it. When the girls find out, they'll never speak to him again as long as he lives.
The boy believes his heart is going to stop; he puts his head down and prays this prayer, "Dear God, this is an emergency! I need help now! Five minutes from now I'm dead meat."
He looks up from his prayer and here comes the teacher with a look in her eyes that says he has been discovered.
As the teacher is walking toward him, a classmate named Susie is carrying a goldfish bowl that is filled with water. Susie trips in front of the teacher and inexplicably dumps the bowl of water in the boy's lap.
The boy pretends to be angry, but all the while is saying to himself, "Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord!"
Now all of a sudden, instead of being the object of ridicule, the boy is the object of sympathy. The teacher rushes him downstairs and gives him gym shorts to put on while his pants dry out. All the other children are on their hands and knees cleaning up around his desk. The sympathy is wonderful. But as life would have it, the ridicule that should have been his has been transferred to someone else - Susie.
She tries to help, but they tell her to get out. You've done enough, you klutz!"
Finally, at the end of the day, as they are waiting for the bus, the boy walks over to Susie and whispers, "You did that on purpose, didn't you?" Susie whispers back, "I wet my pants once too."
Wouldn't life be awesome if we all did things like that for other people?
In other news, it seems as though God is once again playing tug-of-war with me. I really feel like he is calling me to go to Africa and use my photo/video talents to tell the stories of people there, and to help out organizations that help them. But on the other hand, it also seems he is finally working out my life here in Calgary too. I have been looking around for new jobs, and I had an offer to work for a directory company, but I turned it down. Friday I am meeting with a man who works for another company that does basically the same thing, but is much larger. I also applied for a job at a SWEET stock photo company, which I really hope to get. Either way, it looks like I will be saying goodbye to fulltime hours at No Deal Saneal(the camera store, its not actually called that though). Seriously its been super boring lately, basically all we have done lately (aside from passport photo's) is play with cameras a bit, but more so, play with bouncy balls. We buy them from a vending machine for a dollar, and they provide hours of entertainment. Here's a link to a video I made of a game I made up with the balls. See if you can figure out the rules, and post them as a comment.

Also, some friends of mine from Calgary asked me to photograph their wedding. Talk about stressful!!! Not only do I have to worry about getting great shots, but I also have to get about $3000 worth of equipment, learn how to properly use it, and then do my first wedding!! Under normal circumstances, I totally wouldnt do it, but it's gonna be a really nice wedding. All the guys are wearing kilts, and they are a super cool couple. I'm nervous already though, and its a year away!!! AHHH!!
Well I should go to bed, thankfully I have a day off tomorrow, or else I definetly wouldn't be up this late! I pray that you are all well, and that I can see all of you who are my close friends again one day.
